Ralph Rockel ‑ Spokesman of the Board

Ralph Rockel has worked in the insurance and services industry since joining Mesterheide senior in 1995. In 1996 he commenced his studies in business administration with a focus on insurance at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University Mannheim. In 1999, Ralph Rockel graduated with a degree in business administration (Diplom-Betriebswirt). He then became a partner in Ulrich Mesterheide’s company of Mesterheide GmbH.

In 2023, he became Spokesman of the Board of MRH Trowe AG Holding.

Peter Gabriel – Member of the Board

Date of birth: 02/04/1973

Following his apprenticeship as a construction cost accountant in 1994, Peter Gabriel studied business administration in Frankfurt/Main. After graduating in 1999, Mr. Gabriel was employed as an assistant to senior management in a start-up company. He then worked in auditing at KPMG, and passed the auditors exam in 2005. In 2007, Mr. Gabriel started working for the Swedish financial investor Triton Partners, where he was responsible for performance monitoring of the entire portfolio. In 2020, Mr. Gabriel provided consulting for Compleo Charging Solutions AG when the company went public, after which he accepted a management position as CFO, providing support for several acquisitions and increases in the capital stock.

In February 2023, he joined the management team of Mesterheide Rockel Hirz Trowe AG Holding.

Michael Hirz ‑ Member of the Board

Date of birth: 07/11/1969

Michael Hirz has been working in the insurance and finance industry since 1998. After graduating with a degree in business administration (Diplom-Betriebswirt) in 1994, he worked for the Funk Group until 2000 and gained extensive experience in the insurance business. Then he worked as an independent insurance broker. In 2002 he started working for Mesterheide GmbH as managing partner and joined the team of Lars Mesterheide and Ralph Rockel.

He has been a member of the Board of MRH Trowe AG Holding since January 2018.

Lars Mesterheide ‑ Member of the Board

Date of birth: 10/03/1976

Lars Mesterheide has been working in the insurance industry since 1999. Together with Ralph Rockel, he began his studies in business administration with a focus on insurance at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University Mannheim in 1996. After graduating with a degree in business administration in 1999 (Diplom-Betriebswirt), he joined the family business (Mesterheide GmbH) as managing partner.

He has been a member of the Board of MRH Trowe AG Holding since January 2018.

Maximilian Trowe ‑ Member of the Board

Date of birth: 20/10/1980

Maximilian Trowe started working in the insurance industry in 2010. After completing his secondary education, he studied at Babson College in Massachusetts, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (Business Administration) degree in Entrepreneurship & Economics. After successfully completing his studies in 2004, Maximilian Trowe worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Cloppenburg Automobil SE, and other firms.

In 2010 he moved to London where he earned an MBA and Master’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management from the Cass Business School. After completing his studies, he took over the position of Managing Partner at the Trowe Group. In 2016 the company merged with MRH Group (formerly Mesterheide GmbH).

He has been a member of the Board of MRH Trowe AG Holding since January 2018.

Leonid Karlinski – Chief Operating Officer

Date of birth: 05/05/1985

As Managing Partner, Leonid Karlinski has been supporting the MRH Trowe management team since November 2024. He takes the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) with the responsibility for People & Culture, IT and Inhouse Consulting/Business Organization.

Before joining MRH Trowe, Leonid Karlinski worked for four years as Managing Partner for non-life insurance at the comparison portal Check24. Prior to that, he spent six years in strategy consulting at McKinsey & Company. As an Associate Partner, he advised companies primarily on transformation and digitalization topics, several times also in operational management roles on the client side. He also worked as a project manager at various banks. Mr. Karlinski has extensive experience in business management, digitalization and transformation.
